William D. Chapman, Civil Litigation Attorney

From the inception of his 25 year career as a civil litigation attorney, Mr. Chapman has been awarded the highest possible peer-reviewed rating of AV by the respected Martindale-Hubbell rating service.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University and obtained a Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he was on the Dean's List and won numerous Moot Court awards. He is a  civil litigation attorney admitted to practice before all of the Courts in the State of California including the Central, Northern, Eastern and Southern California United States District Courts as well as the 9th Circuit Court of Appeal.

Mr. Chapman's professional experience as a civil litigation attorney has been exclusively as a business litigation attorney and injury attorney. He has spent his entire career as an orange county attorney in the preparation and trial of cases involving product liability, construction defect, civil rights, unfair business practices, fraud and general liability litigation. William D. Chapman subscribes to the vision of the BYU Management Society of "growing moral and ethical leadership around the world." He has served as Chair of the Orange County chapter and currently serves as the Chair of the Rancho Santa Margarita chapter, as well as the Southern California Regional Chair and is serving a two-year term as the International Chair. Mr. Chapman is active in the Orange County Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, having served as a member of its Board Of Directors.

He served a two-year full-time mission for his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Monterrey, Mexico.  In addition to a busy law practice, Mr. Chapman has served in the community as AYSO soccer coach for approximately 6 years, three years as a Scoutmaster and taught early-morning religion classes for six years.  He enjoys surfing, trail running, backpacking, snowboarding and loves the outdoors.  He has been married for 25 years to Terri Chapman and considers her and his four children his greatest assets and joy in his life.
