The County of Los Angeles sued Northern California Children's Homes, which operated five group homes in South Central Los Angeles, and Fred Baker, it's Executive Director, for fraud and breach of contract. After prior attorneys withdrew from the case, Smith, Chapman & Campbell took over the case and successfully defended all claims against their clients. Also, Smith, Chapman & Campbell won a jury verdict in excess of $700,000 in favor of their client, Northern California Children's Homes in a Cross-Complaint for breach of contract and violation of civil rights.
