In the case of Pinnacle v. Far East National Bank, Mr. Chapman and his partner, Steven Smith, were awarded $1,224,480 by Retired Appellate Court Justice Robert Feinerman, after 4 weeks of binding arbitration. Pinnacle worked for several months to help Far East set up a franchise finance business under a contract where it was to be paid commissions for bringing in loans to Far East. Far East breached the contract and hired someone to pursue the project in-house.
